We're excited to announce that we have a new partnership with Backbeat, a rock school (think Jack Black) on Whyte Ave. that teaches kids music by putting them into rock bands. 

For the mini-rockstar in your life, Backbeat is offering an exclusive 25% discount off its Little Beats program. Little Beats is a six-week program that will give your 3-5 year old a basic introduction to music fundamentals while placing them in their very own (noise rock) band!  The next round starts in early February!

Announcing date changes for SCL HAPPY HOUR @ Juniper Cafe!

Effective next month, Toonie ‘Happy Hour’ for Strathearn Community League members will shift from the second Thursday to the first Saturday afternoon of the month. As a special perk of your SCL membership, enjoy a glass of wine or beer at the lovely Juniper Cafe (corner of 95 Ave & 87 St.) for only $2 on the first Saturday of the month from 4-6pm.

Upcoming Strathearn Happy Hour dates are February 1st and March 7th.

AV Club - The Commitments date change

Please note, Strathearn AV Club showing of The Commitments on Thursday, Dec. 19 is cancelled.

With Rock Comes Roll series (Books to film) - The Commitments by Alan Parker will be shown in conjunction with Rock’n’Roll Bookclub - join the fun and read Roddy Doyle's novel The Commitments and then join us for the film January 30, 2020 starting at 8pm.

New Program Sessions now Open for Registration!

New Program Sessions of Yoga, Barre and Zumba will start up at the Hall in January! Registration is now open. See posters attached below for all the details.

Barre Class with Kim

Every Saturday, starting October 19 until December 7, for 8 weeks Kim will be hosting a Barre class at the community hall.

Classes are from 9:00 am until 10:00 am.

Prices:

• $75 for Community League Members

• $90 for non Community League Members

• Drop-ins are $15

Payment online is available or cash at the door; however, no cheques are accepted.
