After several months of closure for LRT construction work, 95 avenue will re-open to pedestrians and vehicles on December 1, 2019.
Intersections all along 95 avenue, from Donnell road on the west to 85 street on the east, will re-open with their permanent left and right turning configurations, though traffic lights will not be installed until later in 2020.
Pedestrian crossings over 95 avenue will be limited to 85 street, 87 street, and 92 street - keep this in mind when walking or biking to the hall from south of 95 avenue. In the future, crossings will be added at 89 street and the east side of the hall, these will connect directly to the west and east sides of the Strathearn LRT Stop). Also note that the final design does not allow pedestrian crossing at 91, 90, or 86 streets.
To celebrate this important construction milestone and re-opening, TransEd is hosting an event at the Strathearn Community Hall on Saturday November 30, more details will be posted soon.
Refer to the map below for vehicle movements that will be permitted after the December 1 re-opening.
